RAK College Of Nursing Celebrating Nurses & Midwifery's Day

RAK College of Nursing, RAKMHSU, celebrated the international nurses and midwifery day on 14th May 2024.Representation of President, Prof. Mohamed El-Tanani, Vice-President Research, Prof. Ibrahim Al Faouri Dean, RAK College of Nursing, Advisory Board members, Directors of Nursing and Clinical Resources Nurses from various hospitals across UAE were present among the invited guests. Ms. Badreyya Ibrahim Alshehhi, Director of Nursing Abdulla Bin Omran Hospital unveiled the ICN theme "Our Nurses. Our future - the Economic Power of Care”. Activities included poster, drawing competition on the theme.


Special recognition was given to Mr. Khalil, the first Emirati male nurse who is currently working in Ras Al Khaimah. The first batch of students from BSN, RNBSN and MSN programmes who had the highest GPA were honoured during this occasion.


RAKMHSU President – Prof. Ismail Matalka in his speech commended the contribution of nurses during challenging times, specially during the pandemic, he mentioned the dedication, sacrifice and bravery are the instruments for unwavering commitment of the nurses to the profession and humanity. He pledged unconditional support to research and innovation in Nursing contributing to excellent quality of care provided to the sick and the needy.


Prof. Ibrahim Al Faouri Dean, RAK College of Nursing in his message said this occasion fills the day with immense pride to see nursing profession being celebrated. Reiterating nursing as a noble calling that requires empathy, compassion, dedication and strong clinical skills. He added saying “as we celebrate the international nursing day, let us rededicate ourselves to upholding the vision and mission of our noble profession. I am confident that with your continued handwork and commitment, we will take nursing education and practice to even greater heights”
